Amazon is selling a few of the toy store’s popular “Bite Me” toys for as low as $5.95 per unit, according to the company’s online store.
Amazon says that the “Bites the Beast” and “Biting the Beast Bites the Man” “BITE ME” and the “Tickle Me Me” “TICKLE ME” plush toys were among the items that were listed for sale, though a representative from the retailer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The company does not typically sell these kinds of toys online, and they have typically been found to be more expensive than the average Amazon product, Amazon said.
Amazon has not said how much the toys were sold for.
BiteMe and Biting the Man, the other popular Bites toys, were originally made by Hasbro, a subsidiary of the maker of Transformers and Marvel comic books, but the toy company bought them out in 2013.
The “Bits of Gold” toys, which are made from plastic pellets, are marketed as “presents for adults” and can be found in toy stores across the United States.
Bites have also been sold at Target, Toys “R” Us and Wal-Mart.
Bites are one of the few toys that can be used in the home, and Amazon has been offering them as a way to teach children about life.
They are also a popular novelty item at toy stores, with children spending upwards of $50 on each toy, according a survey by the Consumer Reports Foundation last year.
Amazon said that it has sold about 6,000 “Bitty Bits” toys.
