Facebook CEO Zuckerberg’s pet robot is a product of Facebook’s work on robotics, according to a new report.
The report, which was published by Axios, says the bot is designed to help Zuckerberg “find and connect with people who are connected to Facebook.”
Zuckerberg has previously made the connection between technology and human connection, but the report notes that the bot’s purpose is different from other social networks.
“This is not a social network, it is a robotic companion that Zuckerberg wants to help you find and connect to people who have connected to the platform,” the report reads.
Zuckerberg also plans to use robots in his own social media accounts, which will allow him to connect with his fans, but will not necessarily involve them interacting with his personal account.
The bot’s creators hope to sell it for between $1 million and $3 million, the report says.
It’s unclear if Zuckerberg plans to license the robot to others or if he plans to build his own robot as part of his own business.
The company said it was aware of the report.
