Toys R US plans to launch a new line of baby toys based in Yoda and the rest of Star Wars characters, The Times Of India has reported.
The new line, which will launch in 2018, will feature a range of toys based around the famous fictional character, including Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca and R2-D2.
Battleship will be the first set to feature the character.
Toys R US also plans to bring a range from the Star Wars universe to the toy market, with the line aimed at younger buyers.
“Our goal is to make this line the new home for a diverse range of products.
The line will include a wide range of product categories including toys, games, home goods, accessories and more,” an unnamed source told the newspaper.
In 2018, Toys R United will launch a line of StarWars-themed toys, The New York Times said, with plans to sell them in stores.
As for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it will also be the year that toys and other merchandise based on the new film will begin to hit the toy marketplace, The Post said.
